These are the terms for using Cinella. They are in plain English on purpose. By creating an account you agree to them. Questions go to hello@cinella.app.

The service

Cinella is web software that helps small video crews run a job: enquiries, contracts, shoot days, client pages, review, and invoices. It is looked after by one person and kept as fast and available as one person can keep it, but like all software it is provided as it is, and it may have an off day.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18 and using Cinella for business.

Price, trial and cancelling

• Every subscription starts with fourteen days free, no card. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
• The price is £19 a month, or £190 a year paid annually. If you subscribed at an earlier rate, your rate stays as it was for as long as you keep the subscription.
• Cancel any time from your Account page. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. No notice period, no fee.
• If a payment fails, you have seven days to fix it; after that the account goes read-only until it is sorted. Nothing is deleted.

Your data

Everything you create in Cinella is yours. You can export it all as JSON at any time, including after your subscription ends; a read-only account keeps viewing and export rights. Your data is processed only to run the service. The privacy page says what is kept and why.

Client pages

Your clients reach their page by a long link and a passcode rather than an account. Treat the link like the semi-private document it is: anyone you give it and the passcode to can see that client’s shoot details, films and invoices, and can send you files. You are responsible for what you share through it.

Films and files

Review copies you upload are watermarked, capped at 1080p and played through an expiring link. They are removed a set number of days after a delivery closes; you choose the number. Final films are not delivered through Cinella and are never uploaded as masters. Payment for your work is between you and your client, by bank transfer; Cinella does not take or hold money on your behalf.

Fair use

Do not use Cinella to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, send spam, or store malicious files. Accounts doing that may be suspended. Storage is subject to fair use for a small production company.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Cinella’s total liability to you is capped at what you have paid in the twelve months before a claim, and it is not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost bookings. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending or changing the service

You can close your account whenever you like. If Cinella is ever discontinued you will get at least ninety days’ notice, with export working throughout. These terms may change; a change that matters is flagged by email or in the app first.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts there.
