Your first shoot

A shoot is the unit everything hangs off: the client, the run of day, the kit and shot lists, the client's link, the review, the invoice. Build one real shoot rather than a test; fourteen days is about one job end to end.

The studio dashboard: what is owed, the next seven days and the next shoot
The dashboard after the first shoot is in. What is owed, the next seven days, the next shoot.

The builder asks for the essentials in order and shows the steps down the side. You can leave a step and come back to it; the call sheet unlocks when the essentials are in.

If you do not have a date yet, leave it blank. The call sheet says Date TBC until you give one.

  1. Press New shoot in the sidebar.
  2. Name the shoot and pick or create the client.
  3. Add the date, the call time and the wrap time. The run of day is built from those two times.
  4. Add the location, the contacts and any kit or shots you already know.
  5. Open the call sheet from the finish screen, or come back to it from the shoot.
